Ruby Bigelow, age 66, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at Buckingham Hospital, Quebec.

Ruby’s spirit lives on in the family she adored. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 26 years, Denis Marinier.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her children and their families:

Paul Contois and Roxanne Mallon, and their children Leah and Liam; Nancy Contois and Kyle Lange, and their children Cora, Eliza and Evrik; Andy Contois and Tiffany Adam, and their children Amber and Abby; Stepdaughter Stéphanie Marinier and Stéphane Guindon, and their children Loïc and Alexy.

She leaves behind her brother Richard, her three sisters, Velvet, Gail and Christine, as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

She was reunited in death with her beloved parents, Kenneth and Jean Bigelow, and her sister Carroll.

The family would like to warmly thank Dr. Sud at the Gatineau Cancer Centre and Papineau Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness provided to Ruby.

A private service will be held for immediate family.
