Margaret Lacey

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday July 9, 2024 in her 89th year. Margaret (Kip) Irene Miller (nee Lacey) of Buckingham Quebec, was the loving wife for 36 years of the late Bruce Miller. Dear mother of sons Stephen (Dominique) and Nicholas (Colleen). Grandmother to Sebastién. Born in Plymouth, England, Kip emigrated to Canada as a young woman to escape the hardships of a post World War 2 economy. After meeting then marrying Bruce (1961) Kip travelled extensively throughout North America, working in a wide variety of positions including secretary, radio announcer, seafood processor and teacher. Her final 20 years of employment was within the Canadian intelligence community, where we affectionately remember her as our “Ms. Moneypenny”. She will be remembered by her many friends and family on both sides of the Atlantic. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the kind medical and support staff at the Manoir Le Buckingham along with the regional CLSC.
