Gwen McCormick, beloved wife, died peacefully in her sleep on September 16, 2026, at the age of 68 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Born August 21, 1958, in Pembroke, Ontario, and later earned a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick.

Gwen married Doug McNamara on May 12, 2023 in Ottawa.

It was here she completed her 22-year career at Carleton University, working in the IT (Information Technology) department as a software developer.

Throughout her life, Gwen had a variety of interests and hobbies, including making jewellery, knitting, motorcycling, golf, bowling, piano and voice lessons and reading, Especially books about fantasy, travel, and history. She is survived by her husband Doug, and sister Gail and brother John. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents.
