It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy McDonnell on June 11, 2025, at the age of 74, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Natalie, her sisters: Mary, Inez, Christina, and Ida; her brother Ronnie, as well as her cousins, extended family and friends. She had a deep love for horses and found great peace in nature, where she felt most at home.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the team at the Résidence Le Monarque in Plaisance for their compassionate care during Dorothy’s final days.
A funeral service to honor Dorothy’s life will be held on Friday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Malachy’s Church, with family and friends welcome to attend. Dorothy’s presence, warmth, and quiet strength will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
