Peacefully, surrounded with family by his side, on February 21st, 2020, at the age of 81 years old, at the Gatineau hospital. Son of the late John (Jack) Miller and the late Josephine Miller, beloved husband of Lillian Miller (Berndt) for the past 60 years. He was the loving father of Kathy (Gilles Phillion), Sandra (Dan Farnand), Tammy (Dave Day) and Randy (Christine Cadieux); cherished grandfather of Stacy, Courtney, Derrick, Ally, Jonathan, Amber and Tiana; and proud great grandfather of Rhylan. He also leaves to mourn his siblings Iris, Lloyd and Johnny as well as many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his dear son Kenney; his sister Dorothy and his brothers Larry and Alvin. Carl, born on April 27th, lived all his life in Mulgrave, spent time working in the fire towers, lumber camps and served as a councillor for the municipality for almost 30 years. He and his brothers started Miller Brothers Forestry where Carl drove the logging truck. In 2005, he and his son Randy created C.R Forestry, where he worked in the bush up until he was 80 years old. Carl was an avid hunter and fishermen who enjoyed outdoor life, riding around on his four wheeler and spending time with his family and friends.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, March 6th, 2020, at 11am, at the St-Malachy Church located at 3889 QC-315 in Mayo, QC. Family will receive condolences at 10 am. Reception to follow at the Hill & Gully Rider’s Club in Mulgrave.
The family would like to thank the intensive care unit of the Gatineau hospital as well as the Gatineau cancer clinic for the compassionate care that they provided.
