Albrecht Thomas Hugo Amarica

With profound sadness, the Amarica family announces the death of their brother Albrecht (Albert) Thomas Hugo Amarica on October 5, 2025, at the age of 61, suddenly but peacefully, in Gatineau, Quebec.

Albert is survived by his siblings Nick, Carmen, George (Andrea), Gertie (Hardy), Sandu, (Sue) and John, (Karin), and his nieces and nephews Tara, Sasha, Britney, Kayla, Jade, Christopher, Alexander, Sarah, Ryan, Kathelyn and Johnatan. He was predeceased by his Father, Carmil Amarica , his Mother Gisela Amarica, his sister Ulrike and his brother Carmil Jr. (Tricia)

Despite challenges with his mental health, Albert was deeply devoted to his family. Daily phone calls and yearly check-ins with every birthday boy and girl were Albert's way of keeping in touch with his large family. A happy and playful person by nature, Albert was surrounded by loving friends and amazing caregivers in his last years, and we are incredibly grateful to Silvie, Ashley, and the staff at Residence Mont Bleu.
